My VISION is to aid people in designing an intentional life on their own terms. My desire is to help you find the people, resources, and support you need to make your dreams come true.

Based in Eagle, Idaho

Pivotous is a female-founded and led SaaS marketing company. The company was started in 2018, by Chrissy Larsen.

"My Why"

We all have our “why’s” whether you’ve thought about it enough to curate a cohesive origin story, we all have a moment in time that triggered a sequence of events that lead us to where we are today.

From afar where I started, to where I am today, may not seem linear but in retrospect, everything is interconnected. From the relationships, I’ve formed to the type of work I’ve done, it’s all been complimentary.

When I was 9 my uncle was diagnosed with colon cancer. This was devastating for my family as we had never experienced a major illness of this kind. Johnny, my uncle, was the life of the party, the glue that held everyone together. Johnny was an entrepreneur and a badass. I wanted my life to be just like his when I grew up!! People lit up when he walked in the room, he owned his own company, his lifestyle, his relationship, it was all so appealing.

Naturally, when he got sick, it affected everyone. I’m young, so I was more of a spectator than an active participant in most conversations but I heard everything. Over the next 3 years, my family spent countless hours at the hospital (my family was very close), and as a child, you’re given something to entertain yourself with and you are left to listen to the whispers and sadness.

But, what I heard the most was “WHY”, why is this happening, what could have been done differently, why him, why us, why can’t they fix this? Johnny passed away when I was 11 years old. At 11 years old I decided I would become a business owner and go into the business of asking WHY? Is there a preventative measure that can be taken to avoid a future crisis?

🕯️ Burning The Candle at Both Ends 🕯️

Fast forward to 2018. I had closed my business of 15 years in 2014 and launched my Startup, “Why The Health Not” in 2015. Transitioning careers is hard on anyone but from 2015-2018 when this picture was taken… I experienced one personal crisis after another. I had 3 of my closest girlfriends pass away. (all young, all tragically) I lost my dad, my grandma, and my uncle (Johnny’s brother). I was having issues with my son, issues in my relationship, and I couldn’t make my original idea work for my company. I was spiraling out of control. So I had to look at my why’s, what’s and how’s…

  • Why am I spiraling?
  • What do I need to fix my situation?
  • How am I going to overcome this?

The image below was taken right after I had signed up for a 12 month high-level mentoring program. I look like death. I had gained 50lbs from stress. I was having allergic reactions to everything I ate. I slept like crap. I was working 24/7 but always felt like I was running behind.

My passion and business were going to kill me if I didn’t make immediate changes.

I needed a positive outlet for stress. I needed to find a way to systemize my efforts and optimize my return on investment. At this point, I was wagering my health, both mentally and physically, and betting that I’d survive based on age alone.

The image at the top was taken this summer, on my way to a rodeo. Stress-free and confident that my business wouldn’t fail if I took time off.

What changed that? I found the right people to help me make the choices I needed to for that period in my life. Your life is ever-evolving and what you need at each level will evolve too. Not only am I healthier and happier, but I also work less and accomplish more.

⚖️ Living My Life With Intention and Balance ⚖️

This transformation didn’t happen overnight and neither will yours. But, what I want you to understand is that you can do it.

You can dream big and chase your grandest ideas and not kill yourself. There are multiple ways to do just about everything.

Your job is to find the right people who have already “been there and done that” to guide your way and make your life easier. And that’s where I come in!

In addition to my 12-month mentoring and Saas solution, I am launching a new app called “The Balance Challenge” which addresses the difficulties individuals face when it comes to work/life balance. Since my background is in preventative wellness, when I hit a personal health crisis trying to build my business I realized I could merge my first passion career with my current one. Bringing my story full circle.

Being someone that likes to do “ALL THE THINGS” I need to make the most of all the hours in the day, and days in the week. If there’s a way to do more then count me in. In March, 43 of my friends and I did the 75 Hard Challenge together and I watched it change so many lives (mine included). The problem I saw with the program is it ended. It was a temporary solution to a lifelong issue. People need to make positive changes in their life continually not just for 75 days.

I want a lifelong system to help me balance all the areas of my life both personally and professionally or at least a guided approach to help push me in that direction. (Kind of like Pivotous Connect and The Marketing Love Language!) You can opt-in to different “Challenges” like the 90-Day starter challenge or a 30-Day Sprint Challenge but it can also be used as a daily optimization system for growth, inspiration, community, and journaling.

The 75 Hard app uses images on Instagram to inspire others. Since this is geared to help individuals get the most out of their day professionally, so that they can mentally detach a be more present during their personal time, LinkedIn is my target network to use inspirational transformation posts on for the Balance Challenge. But the feature to post across multiple platforms will be available.

Remember to take care of yourself on a personal level. Success is great but if you’re not around to enjoy the benefits of your hard work then what is it all for?
